Kolkata Knight Riders Won the match against Rajasthan Royals. Rajashtan Royals the defending champions are out of the tournament with this loss. Also, Chennai Super Kings are through to the semi finals. Kolkata Knight Riders are on a roll winning their second match in a row after losing 8 in a row. They won the low scoring match. Royals just manage to score 101/9 in their 20 overs with none of their batsman really settling in. Their innings include two horrible mix up ending up as run outs. Langavelt playing his first game took 3 wickets. Kolkata Knight Riders strated their innings badly losing lots of early wickets and were struggling at 55/6. Shukla and Agarkar played well and took them to the victory in the last over of the match. Yet another close match that went to the last over of the match. Shane Warne will be really disappointed with their performance today, they didn’t bat well and started well with bowling but couldn’t finish it at the end.
Chennai Super Kings Won the match against Kings XI Punjab and moved to second position. Kings XI Punjab is out of the tournament now. Its been day of low scoring games. Chennai Super Kings had a blistering start with opening partnership of 40 in just 4.5 overs. But lost wicket at regular intervals then on and just manage to score 116/9 in 20 overs. This is the lowest total by Chennai Super Kings in this IPL. Kings XI Punjab made a mess with the batting or an excellent bowling from Chennai Super Kings. Kings XI Punjab just got 92/8 and lost the match by 24 runs. They also lost the semi final spot, though theoretically there is chance for them but that unlikely to happen.
